PIPA is involved in a range of community activities.
PIPA stand at PBE 2005
PIPA takes an active interest in pertinent public issues (e.g. health and hospital care and womens health) and contributes to these by establishing community displays and talking to various community groups. Committee Members also give talks about the experiences of being a Prem Parent to students studying Child Care. We also participate in the “Parents, Children’s & Babies Expo” every year.
Annual “Prems in the Park” Picnic
This has become an annual event held in October, which is open to all families of premature babies, not just PIPA members. This is an opportunity for families & friends to get together and share experiences and marvel at the progress of their miracle babies.
We rely on donations, hold Tupperware & Shopping trip fundraisers, raffles and craft stalls to help us to continue to fund our many projects. E.g. Comfort packs, colouring books, Christmas hampers, Special Day gifts, breast pumps.
PIPA or Preterm Infants’ Parents’ Association Inc. is a registered charity and all donations over $2 are tax deductable. All donations made are used to help support Premature babies and their families. Donations can be made online through the
Australian Giving Centre at Our Community.
